About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit – Texas

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Irving, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM, 4:1 patient ratio (may be 5:1 with tech support)

Highlights:

• 11-bed Progressive Care Unit within a modern acute care facility
• No on-call requirements; may float to Med Surg as needed
• Meditech EMR system with bedside vital sign monitoring in every room
• Collaborative team environment with experienced charge nurses and dedicated tech support
• Typical procedures include telemetry monitoring, critical cardiac drips, hematoma management post-sheath removal, and paracentesis/thoracentesis
• Travel RN assignment with comprehensive support

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit setting
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation (required)
• PCU level of care experience or higher (Med Surg only experience does not qualify)
• Experience with critical cardiac drips (preferred)
• Hematoma management post-sheath removal experience (preferred)
