Associate Veterinarian - Full Time

Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join our team at Oak Glen Animal Hospital in Yucaipa, California. The ideal candidate will provide high‑quality veterinary care and maintain strong communication with clients and staff. The role works with experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff under the guidance of the Hospital Manager and Regional Director. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups. Communicate with clients and educate them. Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery. Maintain accurate medical records. Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols. Promote teamwork and staff efficiency. Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations. Evaluate and monitor protocols for hospital operations from intake to discharge. Monitor cases and attend daily rounds to ensure high standards. Participate in practice management updates and training. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications (Required) DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university. Current State Veterinary License. DEA registration maintained. 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills. Excellent surgical and dental skills. Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to providing compassionate high‑quality care. Effective communication with all members of the medical and hospital staff. Client communication skills, including rapport building. Confidence and reassurance when handling stressed, ill, or painful pets. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a rotating schedule. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals; perform cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations. Problem‑solving to develop hospital management solutions. Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients. Professionalism, including constructive feedback. Business acumen regarding hospital finances and management. Ethical decision‑making in patient care. Continued learning and training for self and others. Pay Range

$160,000 — $180,000 USD
