Learn more about Pointcore innovation by following us on LinkedIn and at Pointcore.com This position will support retail pharamcy services for OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL Position Summary The Retail Pharmacist reviews prescriptions, obtains clarifications and analyzes drug therapy. Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications according to established policies and procedures of the professional of pharmacy. Supervises pharmacy technicians in the preparation of medication. Required Qualifications Licensure/ Certification: Current Illinois State Pharmacist License American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Science Pharmacy or PharmD Experience: 3 years of experience in Retail Pharmacy Other Skills/ Knowledge: Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and various other medical personnel when explaining medication use and gathering and exchanging other medication information. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine drug appropriateness and evaluate drug interactions. Strong customer service skills. Ability to multi-task.
