Maintenance Planner

Maintenance PlannerLocation: Holton, KS, US, 66436Position Facility: HoltonWe can't do what we do best – make great-tasting sausage products – unless our equipment is reliably running at its best. Members of our maintenance team keep our machines, lines and facilities running. You and your teammates will be responsible for all production and industrial refrigeration equipment, as well as our electrical controls systems. You'll also work closely with our engineers and production members to make important upgrades to our production machinery, as we innovate and grow the business.ResponsibilitiesCreate planned weekly maintenance work schedules which include: preventative maintenance; list of planned work orders; and resource requirementsPlan manpower and prioritize trade resources based on Manufacturing, Scheduling, and Facilities Maintenance inputData analysis/mining: Analyze failure data, cost data, PM schedule adjustments, Predictive Maintenance tool trends, and generate reportsReport out on key Maintenance Metrics: Planned work completed; Preventative Maintenance Compliance; Breakdown Work; Backlog Hours; etcCoordinate "major" Maintenance jobs that involve the coordination of contractors, multiple parties and planned outagesMaintain and manage Maintenance Work Order backlogManage the Preventive Maintenance programUpdate and maintain Preventative Maintenance frequency and content using CMMS data and work order/Technician feedbackComplete kitting for all planned work orders which includes verifying parts, prints and procedures are all available when assignedParticipate in various projects and process improvement teamsTrain members on new maintenance processesReport issues as neededComplete all other duties as assignedEducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredExperience3 years prior related experience in maintenance/reliability planning & scheduling in a GMP/USDA regulated area1 year SAP experience1 year maintenance experienceLeadership experience is a plusSkillsAbility to understand parts/inventory system thru SAP for production and utility equipmentComputer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and some AccessAll candidates should be organized, detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize their workloadThe successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstration of a high skill level in planningBe a proactive team playerHighly motivated self-starter with the willingness to learnStrong written and oral communication skillsOther RequirementsAbility to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background checkTravel – up to 5-10%Benefits and CompensationApplicants must be eligible to work in the country where this job is located, without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.About Our CompanySince 1945, our family-owned band of sausage-makers has invented better ways to make, eat and prepare crave-able sausage.
