Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care working under the supervision of and following a plan of care established by a Physical Therapist. This process focuses on meeting patient/family needs and goals and documenting the patient's subjective and objective response to care and progress towards outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values. Performs and documents physical therapy treatments as delegated per practice act in coordination with the supervising Physical Therapist; communicates regularly with the Physical Therapist regarding patient problems or progress. Follows the plan of care established by the Physical Therapist, working towards functional goals based on identified patient needs. Provides and documents patient/family instructions regarding the use of assistive devices (walkers, crutches, canes, orthotics, prosthetics, etc). Communicates only subjective and objective patient care information with other health care professionals, referring assessment and discharge plan information to the supervising Physical Therapist. QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from a Commisssion on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) and Council for Higher Education Accrediatation (CHEA) school of Physical Therapist Assistant with a diploma or degree. Current licensure in the State of Nebraska required. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
