Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum (Rotating)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, patient- and family-centered nursing care across Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units on a rotating basis
• Execute the full nursing process including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized patient care plans; coordinate care across disciplines
• Perform and interpret fetal monitoring (EFM) and provide postpartum and newborn care
• Circulate for cesarean sections as required
• Delegate appropriate tasks to other care team members and participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practice

Required Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN License
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Postpartum and newborn care skills
• Fetal monitoring interpretation experience
• Experience circulating for cesarean sections
• Newborn, adolescent, and adult patient care experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) – required and must be documented
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required and must be documented
• AWHONN certification – required and must be documented
• MN DHS background study (Net Study) and fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• STABLE Program certification
• Advanced fetal monitoring (EFM) certification or training
• Prior experience in a high-volume Labor & Delivery or Family Birth Center environment
