Punch Press Operator/Manuel Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a Punch Press Operator/Manual Machinist to support single-shift production across high-volume manufacturing, custom fabrication, short-run work, and prototype components. This role operates multiple press types and performs a full range of manual machining while independently interpreting blueprints, completing inspections, and maintaining quality throughout production.

Responsibilities

Operate mechanical, hydraulic, and CNC punch presses.
Set up machines and perform tool changes.
Complete manual machining, including drilling, tapping, milling, turning, grinding, and deburring.
Perform metal fabrication for high-volume, custom, short-run, and prototype production.
Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements.
Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measurement tools.
Verify materials and dimensions to ensure product quality.
Perform equipment maintenance and complete production documentation.

Required Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in punch press operation and manual machining.
Experience operating punch presses and performing manual machining.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
Proficiency with precision measurement and dimensional inspection.
Experience with machine setup, metal fabrication, and quality inspection.
Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
