The Lead Mental Health Technician (MHT) works collaboratively with the CNO, Milieu Manager, Nurse Manager(s), Nurse Educator, Risk Management, Director of Performance Improvement to manage the milieu of the specific assigned unit to provide a safe, efficient, and cohesive milieu that supports the policies and procedures of the organization. The Lead MHT will provide direct support/education to the scheduled Nursing staff, MHTs, Therapists and any other disciplines as warranted. The Lead MHT will supervise the MHTs under the direction of the Milieu Manager and CNO.
The Lead MHT will assist with program development, implementation of performance improvement activities, and evaluation of program components. As a member of the leadership teams, the Lead MHT will assist in coaching staff members including PSOs and MHTs in patient safety practices and adherence to milieu standards of care. The Lead MHT will serve as a mentor with new or inexperienced unlicensed assistive personnel members. The Lead MHT will serve in their role as a staffed MHT within the adolescent unit.

Requirements:

• High School diploma
• 2+ years experience in a psychiatric facility required
• 1+ years of leadership experience preferred
• Valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance or ability to obtain
