Job Summary (List Format):
- Develop and modernize legacy applications by migrating/refactoring to cloud environments, primarily using AWS.
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level Data Lakes and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Hands-on Java development, utilizing Java, J2EE, Spring framework, and Hibernate technologies.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines, using cloud-based ETL tools and AWS services (e.g., Glue, Athena).
- Analyze data models, business requirements, and perform data validation and backend testing.
- Utilize DevOps practices and automation tools to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Write complex SQL queries, optimize database performance, and understand data modeling concepts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, stakeholders) to gather requirements and ensure comprehensive solutions.
- Design, create, and execute test cases to ensure application accuracy and integrity.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce security best practices, and maintain efficient, clean code.
- Monitor, debug, and optimize application performance for cost, security, and reliability on AWS.
- Adhere to industry and organizational standards and best practices.
- Work within Agile/Scrum framework environments.
- (Nice to have) Experience with data analytics/BI tools (Power BI, AWS QuickSight), AWS certification, and state government projects.
