The Role: Workplace Coordinator Location: Alameda, CA - Onsite | Flexibility to travel throughout the Bay Area as needed Compensation: $90,000-$115,000 base salary DOE + OT + exceptional benefits A rapidly growing technology startup is seeking a Workplace Coordinator to serve as the heartbeat of its Oakland office. About The Role As the Workplace Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating a seamless and engaging office experience for employees, visitors, and leadership. This role combines office management, workplace operations, event coordination, vendor management, and employee experience responsibilities. No two days will look the same, and success in this role requires flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the center of the action, takes ownership of their work, and is excited to contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing startup. The role will primarily be based in Oakland but requires flexibility to travel throughout the Bay Area to support various office, team, and workplace initiatives. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring a productive, organized, and welcoming workplace environment Manage office supplies, inventory, vendors, facilities requests, and workplace budgets Coordinate with building management and external partners to address office needs and maintain a best-in-class employee experience Plan and execute team events, offsites, company celebrations, lunches, and employee engagement initiatives Support onboarding efforts by preparing workspaces, coordinating equipment, and ensuring new hires have an exceptional first-day experience Partner with People, Operations, and Leadership teams to support workplace programs and special projects Coordinate travel, logistics, and administrative support for meetings and company events as needed Assist with managing multiple office locations or shared workspaces throughout the Bay Area when required Troubleshoot workplace issues proactively and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies Serve as a friendly and approachable resource for employees, visitors, and external partners Ideal Candidate 3+ years of workplace, office management, facilities coordination, hospitality, or related experience Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment strongly preferred Comfortable working onsite and traveling throughout the Bay Area when business needs require Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives with autonomy Strong relationship-building and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly as needs evolve Customer-service mindset with a genuine passion for creating positive employee experiences Comfortable handling both strategic projects and hands‑on operational tasks Proficient with modern workplace tools, including Google Workspace, Slack, and related productivity platforms Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
