Social Worker Intern

We are looking for a dedicated Social Work Intern to join our compassionate care team! Wedgewood Garden Care Center 3419 US Highway 9, Freehold, NJ 07728 In this role, you will work closely with our residents and their families, providing emotional support, assisting with care planning, and helping navigate psychosocial needs in a warm, welcoming environment. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on, clinical experience in long-term care. Responsibilities Conduct psychosocial assessments and assist with resident admissions/discharges. Provide emotional support and advocacy for residents and their families. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, therapy, and activities) to enhance resident quality of life. Assist with documentation and community resource coordination. Qualifications Currently enrolled in an accredited BSW or MSW program. A genuinely warm, empathetic, and patient personality.
