About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (9:00 AM - 9:30 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years RN experience required License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Two years of acute care RN experience Description: A professional nurse is responsible for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective, patient-centered care. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction and quality outcomes. The RN is accountable for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN promotes their own development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. This position involves supervising licensed and non-licensed staff members. The RN applies the caring processes of a recognized model of care. They are responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The RN prioritizes patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. Education and professional experiences are applied in delivering quality care. The RN also mentors and precepts other staff members. Job Responsibilities: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make sound, independent decisions. Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care. Reviews and revises the plan as indicated. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization and patient/family. Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions. Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient/family needs. Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions as a mentor and preceptor, demonstrating and facilitating teamwork. Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts. Implements practice changes and complies with regulatory standards.
