A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 50-bed hospital in Northern Wisconsin, offering a rewarding 13-week+ assignment. This role is essential for ensuring optimal medication management and patient safety within the hospital setting.

Location: Washburn, WI
Job Type: Contract
Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Immediate start

Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders for appropriate drug therapy, including assessment of dose, dosage form, regimen, therapeutic duplication, and potential drug interactions
• Provide pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing expertise
• Deliver pharmaceutical care through clinical services, such as medication reconciliation and discharge medication education
• Oversee pharmaceutical compounding processes with adherence to USP regulatory and compliance guidelines (USP 797 and USP 800)
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records (EHR) system for documentation and medication management

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials to practice
• Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacotherapy and medication management
• Experience with pharmacokinetic dosing and anticoagulation protocols
• Familiarity with USP 797 and USP 800 standards governing pharmaceutical compounding
• Proficiency in EPIC or similar EHR systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment
