Position Summary

Urban Modern Kitchen is seeking a motivated, professional, and guest-focused Floor Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations. The Floor Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining service standards, supporting team development, and driving operational excellence. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee dining room operations and ensure smooth service execution.
• Lead, coach, and support front-of-house staff including servers, bartenders, hosts, and support team members.
• Maintain high standards of guest service and promptly resolve guest concerns or complaints.
• Monitor staffing levels and assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, promotions, and service expectations.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the restaurant.
• Monitor labor costs and support management in achieving operational goals.
• Handle cash management procedures, including deposits, drawer counts, and end-of-shift reconciliation when required.
• Coordinate with kitchen leadership to ensure efficient communication between front and back of house.
• Support catering events, special functions, and restaurant promotions as needed.
• Maintain a positive and professional work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
