Payment Poster – UBA Full-Time | Onsite Company: UBA Department: Revenue Cycle / Medical Billing Work Location: Downtown Buffalo Position Summary UBA is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Poster to join our revenue cycle team. This role is responsible for accurately posting insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials into the billing system while ensuring proper account reconciliation. The Payment Poster plays an important role in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the efficiency of the overall revenue cycle process. Key Responsibilities Payment Posting & Reconciliation Post insurance and patient payments accurately and in a timely manner into the billing system Apply contractual adjustments and identify payment discrepancies Reconcile posted payments with deposit totals and financial reports Remittance Review & Denial Identification Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) Identify underpayments, denials, or posting errors and escalation as necessary Maintain detailed records of payment activity and adjustments Revenue Cycle Collaboration Work closely with billing, collections, and coding teams to resolve account issues Support accurate financial reporting and revenue cycle efficiency Ensure adherence to organizational policies and healthcare compliance standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred 1–2 years of payment posting or medical billing experience preferred Experience working with EOBs, ERAs, and insurance payment posting Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) Strong attention to detail and high level of data entry accuracy Basic knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Skills Experience with revenue cycle management systems Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payment processes Ability to analyze payment discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently Why You’ll Love Working Here Opportunity to work within a collaborative revenue cycle team Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Professional growth opportunities in healthcare billing and finance Meaningful work supporting the financial operations of healthcare practices Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Opportunities for professional growth UBA is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hirebridge
