Job Type: Full-time, Direct-Hire / Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

About the Role
AtWork Personnel – Harrisonburg is partnering with a respected local business seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to join their core accounting team. Key Responsibilities
- A/R Management: Oversee the full-cycle accounts receivable process.
- Collections: Conduct professional, firm follow-ups on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments.
- Accounting & Spreadsheets: Build and maintain detailed Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, process invoices, and reconcile accounts.
- Reporting: Assist the accounting team with month-end financial reporting and record-keeping.
- Compliance & Organization: Ensure financial data remains accurate, organized, and compliant with company procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated Accounts Receivable and Collections experience (Required).
- Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with accounting software.
- Education: Degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus, but not required with relevant experience.
- Core Competencies: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and professional customer service / verbal communication abilities.
