Functional Safety Engineer

We are seeking a Functional Safety (FuSa) Engineer with strong experience in automotive electronics to support safety-critical system development. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 standards and driving safety analysis activities across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support functional safety activities in accordance with ISO 26262
• Perform safety analyses such as FMEDA, FTA, and HARA
• Define and manage safety requirements at system and component levels
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and systems engineering
• Support safety validation and verification processes
• Contribute to safety case development and documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Strong background in automotive electronics systems
• Hands-on experience with ISO 26262 standards
• Expertise in FMEDA and other safety analysis techniques
• Experience working on embedded systems or control units (ECUs)
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Preferred: On-site in the Greater Milwaukee area
• Open to remote candidates (based on experience)
