Information Technology Project Manager

Base pay range $90.00/hr - $110.00/hr Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Position Overview: The Project Manager (PM) for the ExaData X11 Upgrade will lead the migration of critical systems from ExaData X7-2 to X9 servers. This role requires expertise in managing complex IT infrastructure projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless reconfiguration of key applications. The start date and duration of the project will be announced shortly. Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution : Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan for the ExaData X11 upgrade, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. OBIA Reconfiguration : Oversee the reconfiguration of Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) to ensure compatibility and performance on the X9 platform. SOA Application Reconfiguration : Manage the reconfiguration of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes. EPM Hyperion 11.2.19 Reconfiguration : Lead the reconfiguration of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Hyperion 11.2.19 applications, optimizing for the new server environment. OAM/OUD/UMS Reconfiguration : Coordinate the reconfiguration of Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Unified Directory (OUD), and Unified Messaging Service (UMS) to align with the ExaData X9 infrastructure. Stakeholder Management : Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to align project objectives and communicate progress. Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the migration and reconfiguration processes. Testing and Validation : Ensure thorough testing of all reconfigured applications to guarantee functionality and performance post-migration. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Required Qualifications: Experience : 5+ years of project management experience in IT infrastructure projects, with a focus on Oracle ExaData migrations or similar large-scale server upgrades. Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of Oracle ExaData platforms (X7-2, X9), OBIA, SOA, EPM Hyperion 11.2.19, OAM, OUD, and UMS. Project Management : Proven expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, or Waterfall), with PMP or equivalent certification preferred. Leadership : Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships effectively. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills to address technical and operational challenges during migration. Tools : Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent) and Oracle enterprise software. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with ExaData X7-2 to X9 migrations. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) integration. Knowledge of ITIL frameworks for change and release management.
