BEPC is actively looking for Lead Subcontracts Specialist in the Tempe, AZ, area!

W2 Contract – Approximately 6 months with possible extensions!
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
Pay Rate: $55.41 - $58.41 /hour -  Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Work Model: Onsite for the first 90 days, with a hybrid option available afterward – Day shift

Note : This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered

  Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Lead Subcontracts Specialist to join our client’s site in Tempe, AZ. This role will support the Mechanical Assembly Government Sourcing team.

This position leads the end-to-end lifecycle of FAR 15 proposals and subcontracts in support of key Aerospace programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for mentoring team members while leading assigned commodities.

The role spans from proposal development through fulfillment of sales orders and concludes with negotiating subcontracts or long-term purchase agreements. The Lead Subcontracts Specialist ensures compliance, collaborates cross-functionally, and drives supplier performance.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute FAR 15 subcontracts in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations.
• Develop strong negotiation strategies for contract execution.
• Manage key program suppliers.
• Train and mentor team members.
• Build supplier strategies to deliver best value.
• Deliver compliant FAR 15 proposal packages to government customers.
• Partner closely with Pricing to ensure compliant submissions.
• Negotiate FAR 15-compliant subcontracts with suppliers.

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in: Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Law & Contracts (L&C) and/or Business or Finance.
• Experience with FAR 15 subcontracting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working with subcontractors across the full program lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DFARS.
• Experience with: MS Office Suite, SAP and/or other subcontract management tools
• Supply chain and procurement experience in defense, aerospace, or similar industries.
• Experience managing the following contract types: FFP (Firm Fixed Price), CP (Cost Plus) and CPIF (Cost Plus Incentive Fee).
• Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD).
• Ability to review and negotiate terms and conditions.
• Ability to work independently.

2. Describe a complex supplier negotiation involving FFP, CP, or CPIF subcontracts. How did you develop your negotiation strategy and balance value, compliance, and supplier relationships?
3. Provide an example of mentoring team members through a tight-deadline proposal or audit preparation. How did you ensure compliance, delegation, and on-time delivery?
