Location: Sachse, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM On-call required: 1 Friday/Saturday/Sunday, and 1 additional weekday per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel RN to join our PACU team. In this role, you will be responsible for both the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and preoperative functions. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in Phase 1 PACU and possess ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and monitoring for patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Assist with preoperative assessments and preparations.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Manage medication administration and patient comfort.
• Document patient care and outcomes in the EMR system (Meditech).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• More than 2 years of Phase 1 PACU experience.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Preop/PAT experience is preferred.
