Product Development Technician

Job Details Position: Product Development Technician Location: Emeryville, CA (Onsite) – 2200 Powell Street, Suite 900, Emeryville, CA 94608 Type: Contract – 5 months Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Remaining Positions: 1 Responsibilities Work on projects for one of the largest food brands in the category, gaining learning experience with experienced developers and a high‑performing team. Engage in near‑term innovation and renovation initiatives. Resolve quality issues, support business continuity planning, margin improvements, and overall plant performance. Prepare benchtop samples to support development; manage shipping and receiving of samples and ingredients. Requirements BS in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field. 1–3 years of experience in the related field. Strong technical foundation and curiosity. Ability to participate in cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues. Experience writing process specifications to deliver consistent, high‑quality products across manufacturing facilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Background in food science, chemistry, or engineering, ideally in a fast‑moving consumer goods market. Capability to work both independently and within a team under managerial guidance. Personal drive, strong organization, and prioritization skills. Ability to plan and execute work plans with some supervision. Proactive problem‑solving, independently creating and implementing solutions. Use of fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data for clear conclusions. Effective technical writing and communication. Customer‑centric approach to development activities.
