Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a safety-minded, detail-oriented Forklift Operator to manage our facility's material handling needs. In this role, you will be responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load and unload delivery vehicles, move inventory to designated storage areas, and stage products for shipping or production.

• Operate vehicles safely: Maneuver sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, or pallet jacks through tight facility aisles.
• Load and unload: Transfer inbound and outbound freight from tractor-trailers, shipping containers, and delivery trucks.
• Secure and stable loads: Center, stack, and secure items or pallets to prevent shifting, tipping, or product damage.
• Stage production: Transport raw materials to manufacturing workstations and return finished products to storage bays.
• Scan inventory: Use Radio Frequency (RF) scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory movement.
• Verify accuracy: Cross-check incoming and outgoing product counts against pick tickets, manifests, and bills of lading.
• Order fulfillment: Pull, pick, wrap, and label pallet loads to prepare them safely for transport.
• Audit support: Assist warehouse supervisors with routine cycle counts and stock reconciliation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mobile, AL.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
