Occupational Therapy Contract Position

Step into a rewarding contract position serving students with autism, ranging in age from 5 to 21, near the Bronx, NY area. You'll collaborate with dedicated educational professionals to deliver expert occupational therapy services across kindergarten through 12th grade, supporting a diverse caseload from elementary to high school levels. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy certification
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 populations
• Comfortable providing therapy to students on the autism spectrum, ages 521
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt interventions to fit the unique needs of each age group and individual
• Organized and reliable, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and documentation requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement targeted occupational therapy interventions to address IEP goals
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and ongoing evaluations for students with autism
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each student's educational and functional success
• Adjust techniques and activities based on students' individual developmental levels and needs
• Provide training and resources to staff and parents as needed
• Maintain timely and accurate records in accordance with district and federal regulations

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.70 to $56.70. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
