House Physician

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking per diem house physicians to join our team. This role will be a per diem, hourly position.

House Physician Job Responsibilities:
* The House physician will provide direct hands-on care to patients within the limits of credentials granted by the Medical Staff of Inova in recognition of advanced training and experience in this field
* Additionally, they will adhere to patient care and admission criteria policies and procedures of the Department of Medicine.
* Communicates effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent to assist physicians in optimizing the performance and interpretation of examinations.
* Maintains an orderly, safe and clean environment. Ensures rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies for procedures.
* Assists in the development, review and implementation of policies/procedures.
* Exhibits excellent, clear communication skills.

House Physician Additional Requirements:
* Work schedule: varying shifts
* Education: current resident in good standing in internal medicine program
* Experience: 3rd or 4th year medical residents
* Certification: must be able to provide a letter of good standing
