Certifications: Current Basic Life Support required upon hire

Must-Have:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of professional occupational therapy.
- Skill in organizing and instructing occupational therapy activities.
- Ability to interpret prescriptions related to therapy needed.
- Good interpersonal skills in establishing effective working relationships with staff.
- Ability to communicate instructions and technical information to patients.
- Some computer skills.

Description:
Under general supervision, performs professional Occupational Therapy activities.
Plans, evaluates, establishes, and implements individual and group treatment activities under the direction of a physician.
Interprets a physician's referral and selects an appropriate evaluation procedure.
Evaluates patients in areas including independent living skills, occupational performance, and psychosocial skills.
Interprets data and develops treatment plans involving short and long-term goals.
Assists patients in carrying out procedures through the design and fabrication of adaptive equipment and orthotic devices.
Informs patients and families about goals and progress.
Assists with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patients on home therapy plans.
May supervise students.
Performs other duties as assigned.
