Custodian I
Harvest Christian Fellowship is seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian I to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our congregation, staff, and guests. As part of our Facilities team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the ministry by ensuring that all areas of the church campus are well-maintained and ready for worship services, events, and daily operations. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and serves with a heart aligned with Christian values.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
- Set up and break down rooms for church services, meetings, and special events.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas including walkways, entrances, and parking lots.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and restroom products.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager.
- Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of church property.
- Ensure all areas are secure and locked after use.
- Support other departments with custodial needs as requested.
- Represent Harvest Christian Fellowship with professionalism and a servant's heart.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and special events.
