Job Summary and Qualifications Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Radiology Operations Supervisor, the Ultrasound Technologist performs duties involved with a variety of ultrasound imaging procedures and applies high-frequency sound waves to provide static, real-time, and Doppler images/waveforms of the internal human anatomy to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Duties are performed in compliance with regulatory standards and in accordance with policies and procedures across regulatory bodies. Operates equipment to produce optimal images and maintains safety and quality standards during procedures within the scope of the ARDMS. Establishes and maintains professional relationships with colleagues, other departments and medical staff. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. (ARRT-VS) Vascular Sonography, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
