Responsibilities Lecturer positions carry responsibilities in teaching lower and upper division undergraduate courses and some graduate courses. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications and departmental needs. Minimum Qualifications The minimum education requirement is a Master of Arts in a related field for undergraduate courses and a PhD in second language acquisition, applied linguistics, or a related field for graduate courses. For language positions, demonstrate advanced proficiency in the language to be taught and knowledge of communicative teaching methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in the area of specific need and evidence of effective teaching.
