Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Overview

The QA Engineer is a mid-level role responsible for executing and designing manual tests across AGS platform systems. This position plays an active role in test case creation, exploratory testing, and defect analysis while contributing to release quality in regulated iGaming environments. The QA Engineer works independently on assigned features and collaborates closely with development, product, and automation teams in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases and test plans.
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing across platform and integration components.
• Validate iGaming-specific workflows, configurations, and operator behaviors.
• Identify test coverage gaps and propose improvements.
• Log, track, and triage defects using Jira, including clear reproduction steps.
• Maintain test documentation and execution results in TestRail.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers during feature development and defect resolution.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and release readiness discussions.
• Partner with automation engineers to align manual and automated test coverage.

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong experience in manual test case design and execution.
• Hands-on experience with exploratory and regression testing.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience testing complex systems in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
• Strong defect management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience using API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and service-based architectures.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB or MySQL for data validation.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks or automation teams.
• Experience working in iGaming or other regulated industries.
