Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient welfare and demonstrate expertise in crisis intervention and mental health nursing.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with behavioral health challenges.
Monitor patient behavior, vital signs, and overall health status during shifts.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
Assist in behavioral interventions and crisis management according to established protocols.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress through electronic medical records.
Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

Current North Carolina nursing license or multistate license.
Minimum of two years of Behavioral Health nursing experience.
At least one year of travel nursing experience is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
Recent experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) using EPIC.
Must reside at least 40 miles from the facility.

Schedule

This position is for night shifts, with a 3x12 schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, including every other weekend and holiday shifts. Float responsibilities may be required based on patient care needs.

Additional Information

All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with the job profile. Candidates must provide a valid driver's license for address verification prior to any offer acceptance.
