Travel Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation (Days)

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation for a 13-week travel assignment in St Ignace, MI.

Contract Details

• Days 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 8, M-F 8-4:30 (40 Hour Guarantee)

• Contract: 13 Weeks

• Hourly Pay: $ 35.00
  
• Non-taxed Stipend: $ 1246.00
  
• Weekly Total Pay: $ 2296.00
  
• Weekend Requirements: Rotation required
  

Physical therapy helps reduce pain and restore function and independence in patients who have undergone surgery, suffered an injury, are recovering from serious illness or are coping with a chronic condition.

Our dedicated rehabilitation team uses a multidisciplinary approach, combining exercise and strength training with manual therapy and modalities to develop an individualized treatment plan that meets the unique needs of each patient.

Treatment begins with a physician's prescription and a comprehensive evaluation by an experienced physical therapist. Therapist and patient then work on-on-one, following a specific plan of care designed to help the patient return to work and normal daily activities as quickly and safely as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons
  
• Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about
  
• Develop an individualized treatment plan
  
• Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
  
• Use hands-on therapy such as massage to ease patients’ pain and provide stimulation to promote healing
  
• Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
  
• Advise patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process
  

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)
  
• Pay package details provided upon offer
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 2+ years of PT experience
  
• Please note: Will would work with outpatient, inpatient and LTC- but will primarily focus on inpatient.
  
• Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
  
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently.
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  

Compliance/Screening (Pre-Start):

• Drug screen and background check (facility required)
