DescriptionKforce is partnering with a client in the Saint Louis, MO area to identify an Accounting & Tax Manager. This role will focus primarily on individual and business tax preparation, while also providing exposure to bookkeeping, payroll, client relationships, and process improvement. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their technical expertise, take ownership of client work, and grow their career in a dynamic, supportive environment.Responsibilities:* Lead a team of three employees and manage key vendor and external relationships with wealth managers, attorneys, and business leaders* Review individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns while conducting tax research and supporting year-end planning* Manage IRS and state correspondence, including audit and notice responses, while staying current on tax law changes* Support monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, QuickBooks implementation, and other accounting technology initiatives for small business clients* Provide clients with day-to-day accounting guidance and clear monthly financial reporting and recommendations* Support employee benefit setup, including 401(k) and insurance programs* Identify and implement process improvements, best practices, and system standardization to improve efficiency and the client experienceRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting and active CPA license* Strong organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks; CCH and/or Drake preferred* Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentJob TypeDirect HireCompensation110000 - $125000
