Shipping & Receiving Coordinator - Baton Rouge
Evaluation Hire | $18/hr
Full-Time

Express Employment Professionals - Downtown Baton Rouge is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for a local industrial company. This position offers a unique blend of administrative responsibilities and hands-on warehouse support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable tracking shipping and receiving data, performing data entry, and assisting with general warehouse operations when needed.

Core Responsibilities:

Track and maintain shipping and receiving records
Perform accurate data entry and inventory tracking
Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
Assist with inventory management and reporting
Support bookkeeping and recordkeeping functions
Load and unload trucks as needed
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
Assist with warehouse organization and material handling
Communicate with vendors, drivers, and team members regarding shipments

Skills & Experience Required:

Previous experience in shipping & receiving, inventory control, or warehouse administration preferred
Data entry and computer proficiency
Bookkeeping or accounting experience highly preferred
Forklift experience required
Ability to load and unload materials safely
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Dependable and detail-oriented
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
