Job Description

• Perform thorough assessments of patients, conducting comprehensive physical exams and reviewing pertinent medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting diagnostic imaging and laboratory results
• Work collaboratively with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical plans for each patient
• Provide intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, positioning patients, and passing surgical instruments during procedures
• Ensure excellent preoperative and postoperative care, which includes medication management, wound care, discharge preparations, and patient education

Education

• A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preferred completion of surgical-focused clinical rotations

Certifications

• Unrestricted PA-C certification
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant or eligible for licensure in California
