Warehouse Associate

Location: Ottawa, IL
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Overview:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate for a local company in Ottawa. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a warehouse environment and is comfortable operating equipment and handling materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with stand-up forklifts and be willing to learn and grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate an electric stand-up forklift safely and efficiently.
2. Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
3. Pick, pull, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
4. Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
5. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
6. Assist with deliveries by serving as a backup driver for the company's box truck when needed.
7. Be willing to obtain a Class C driver's license (company willing to assist the right candidate).

Please note: Candidates must be willing to work in a team setting, have great communication skills (written and verbal), and must be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating an electric stand-up forklift required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Experience loading, unloading, and preparing orders.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to obtain a Class C driver's license (company will assist).
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
