Unit Information:
o Beds: 21
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
? Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Moderate to high acuity cardiac, pulmonary, renal, and medical patients.
o CHF, strict I&Os, SVT, a-fib, a-flutter, NSTEMI, coronary artery disease, COPD exacerbations, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, pleural effusions w/ thorax, respiratory failure, acute and chronic kidney failure, altered mental status, metabolic/electrolyte abnormalities, DM, anemia
? Patient Ratios:
o 1:5
? Required License, National Certification, Certs:
o BLS, NIHSS
? Skills required:
o Continual bipap, high-flow nasal cannula, wound care (including dressing pressure injuries), surgical wound care, negative pressure dressing, interpreting cardiac rhythms,
o Drips: Heparin, Lasix, Amiodarone
o Prefer: charge experience and willingness to take on charge duties
? Support within the Department:
o PCA/CNA
o Unit Coordinator (secretary)
o Charge RN takes patient assignment
? Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: Cerner
o IV Pump: ICU Medical
o Med dispensing: Omnicell
o Monitors: Phillips
o Unit specific equipment: Oximizer, Sarah Steady, Hoyer Lift
? Floating: If yes, where?
o Yes, could float to like units
? Orientation (facility and unit):
o NEO
o 2 shifts on the floor
? Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
o On call? No
o Holiday Expectations: Will be put in a holiday rotation
o Approval of RTO: to go through manager

o Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue
o Parking: Free, badge access parking lot
