In this role, you'll help keep Wolverine's fleet operating safely and reliably by performing maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment that support our operations across Michigan. This position plays a critical role in helping our crews safely deliver reliable power to the communities we serve. A Day in the LifeNo two days are exactly the same. You'll work on a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment while helping ensure they remain safe, dependable, and ready for service. Responsibilities include:Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipmentConducting safety inspections and routine serviceTroubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issuesManaging parts and maintenance inventoryInstalling and maintaining mobile communications equipmentMaintaining hydraulic systems and aerial lift devicesSupporting DOT inspections and fleet maintenance programsWorking with vendors and suppliers when specialty repairs are neededWhat We're Looking ForWe're seeking someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and takes pride in quality workmanship. Required Qualifications include:High school diploma or equivalentAssociate degree in Automotive Technology, Auto Mechanics, or equivalent experienceMinimum of two years of experience in an automotive or heavy-duty truck repair facilityValid Michigan driver's license, including a CDL-A with air brake endorsementCurrent First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain and maintain)Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to safety and compliance with OSHA and Cooperative safety standardsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly (up to 100 pounds occasionally) and perform physical work around vehicles and heavy equipmentFlexibility to work overtime, respond to emergencies, and travel as neededWhy Join Wolverine?At Wolverine, we don't just offer jobs.
