Technical Designer
Our client, a wholesale apparel manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Partner with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and product details.
- Review design concepts and samples to ensure construction, fit, and quality standards are met.
- Evaluate prototypes and production samples.
- Collaborate with internal teams and overseas vendors.
- Track development milestones and help ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Support fittings by measuring garments, documenting changes, and updating specifications.
- Maintain accurate product information and technical records.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience.
- Need experience working with sleepwear.
- Experience using PLM systems and managing technical packages.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, grading, and apparel manufacturing processes.
- Ability to evaluate fit, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
