Certified Veterinary Technician

Plum Creek Regional Animal Medical Center is a progressive small animal practice seeking a Veterinary Technician to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary setting offering comprehensive veterinary care. Job Duties Animal restraint and triage of incoming patients Collecting and analyzing diagnostic laboratory samples Performing diagnostic imaging, including radiographic positioning and image capture Managing and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases of varying stability Administering medications and anesthetics Communicating treatment plans effectively to clients Assisting with surgical preparation and intra‑operative monitoring Working in a fast‑paced environment while handling occupational hazards such as unpleasant odors, bites, scratches, animal waste and potential infectious diseases Qualifications Certified Veterinary Technician with an active license; 1+ year of professional experience preferred (students or recent graduates welcome) Consistent punctuality and reliability, with the ability to adhere to scheduled shifts, including Saturdays Excellent client communication and medical record management skills Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations Safe and low‑stress animal restraint techniques Proficiency in collecting blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens Experience with radiographic positioning and image capture; dental radiography is a plus Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage animal‑related hazards Benefits & Compensation Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, liability, life, supplemental insurance, HSA, and FSA 401(k) with matching contribution Employee Assistance Program Paid vacation and sick time for all employees Paid bereavement program Paid parental leave program Competitive compensation with a pay range of $19–$23 per hour Scrub allowance and discounts on employee personal pets Tuition assistance program Access to a CVA/CVT/CVPM partnership through Penn Foster Career development opportunities Referral bonus program for most positions Additional benefits may also be available, such as holiday pay and bonuses Employment Type: Full Time.
