Title
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - CTVICU

Schedule
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Days per week: 36 or 48 hours/week (clinician choice)

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: Minimum 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week

Requirements
- Years of experience required: 2 years
- Preferred CVICU experience
- Trauma Level II experience: Required
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Core Clinical Skills:
- Post-op cardiac surgery care
- Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
- Vasoactive/vasopressor titration
- CRRT/CVVHD management
- ECMO management
- Mechanical circulatory support (IABP, Impella)
- Invasive monitoring: Swan-Ganz, arterial lines, central lines
- Chest tube management, NG/FOLEY placement
- Charting System: Cerner (preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive post-operative care to patients following cardiac surgery.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, executing interventions as needed.
- Manage ventilator settings and wean patients from mechanical ventilation when appropriate.
- Administer vasoactive medications and titrate dosages based on patient response.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform invasive procedures, including central line and chest tube placement, as required.

Compliance / Notes
- Holiday requirement: must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day)
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Drug screen required within 30 days of start
- RTO: Requests >7 days require approval; no RTO during first 7 days or on last day of contract
- Scrub color: Black
