Automation Specialist

Citizens Alliance Bank Location: Clara City, MN Job Title: Automation Specialist Overview The Automation Specialist I will be responsible for planning and developing low‑code workflow automations, applications, and data storage to improve processes and systems. Collaborates cross‑functionally to seek feasible solutions to needed improvements. The role includes defining and documenting automation processes, ensuring development adheres to standards, and mentoring other employees to follow best practices. Responsibilities Collaborates daily with Managers, Supervisors, and employees to complete workflow development objectives. Uses defined protocols and independent judgment to properly escape complex issues to appropriate resources or department managers. Independently manages work schedule and monitors workflow to achieve established goals and meet business deadlines. Receives assignments in the form of individual projects with defined objectives and/or user stories. Develops, analyzes, and maintains workflows using Power Platform or other low‑code automation or RPA software. Participates in team projects in planning, scheduling, and work delivery, including completion of timelines and cost estimates. Generates departmental reports and uses or distributes them as needed, including basic database management as applicable. Works closely with other business units or development teams to ensure the end‑to‑end solution meets business requirements. Participates in testing workflows and processes to review the processes and develop any changes needed to the workflow/process. Identifies performance improvements in existing workflows and recommends enhancements. Supports employees of the Bank with any automation/low‑code related technical process issues. Promotes teamwork to achieve common goals while encouraging individual contributions. Maintains and improves workflows by monitoring system performance; identifying and resolving problems; preparing and completing action plans; completing system audits and analyses; managing system and process improvement and quality assurance programs. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value. Determines workflow strategies by conducting ongoing needs assessments. Contributes information and analysis to assist in organizational strategic plans and reviews. Obtains and maintains a working knowledge of regulatory requirements as they relate to safety and soundness, compliance, and operations. Adheres to and complies with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to BSA/AML, and adheres to the Bank’s policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned and requested. Requirements High School diploma or GED (required). Continuing education to maintain job knowledge (required). One to three years of banking experience or IT/software/technical experience (preferred). Administrative or customer service experience (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Suites (preferred). Valid Driver’s License. Must have a Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) app installed on a personal mobile device. Travel for trade and industry schools and seminars as needed.
