Aide Trainee Position

This role supports patients who need guidance, care, and steady assistance throughout their daily activities. You will help them build skills and stability as they continue their mental health recovery.

As an Aide Trainee, you will perform the following duties:

• Patient Support: Assist, educate, and encourage patients in all activities of daily living
• Care Techniques: Provide physical care and use approved lifting methods to position patients as needed
• Treatment Plans: Follow individualized care plans and support patients during their recovery process
• Safety Response: Respond to emergency situations and escort patients on and off hospital grounds
• Advocacy Role: Act as a patient advocate and support their well being in all care settings

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours during training: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (1st shift), with a 30-minute lunch.
• Hours of work after training:
  • 2nd shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM OR
  • 3rd shift 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with a 30-minute lunch
• Rotating on and off days including weekends and holidays
• Overtime as needed
• Travel as needed
• May change based on operational needs.
• Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

• No previous experience needed, training provided.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
