Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg in Hamilton, NY. Travel assignment starting 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range: $2,114–$2,196 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: Night shift, 7:00 pm–7:00 am. This assignment requires local lodging consideration within a 50-mile radius, ASAP start, and a focus on medical-surgical care with occasional non-pediatric cases.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered medical-surgical nursing care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses (e.g., CHF, COPD, non-STEMI, DKA, post-operative recovery)
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns per protocol
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV therapies, wound care, and post-surgical care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, case managers, therapists) to develop and execute care plans
- Document care in the EMR (Sorian) and ensure clear handoffs at shift change
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, medications, and discharge plans; maintain patient safety and comfort

Requirements
- Active registered nursing license in New York
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- 2+ years of med-surg RN experience; travel experience required
- Ability to work night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) and manage a typical 7:1 patient-to-nurse ratio (may be 8:1 in rare cases)
- Experience with EMR systems; Sorian EMR experience preferred
