Responsibilities As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for your prep and your station. Your activities include setting up and stocking stations, handling and cooking food products with care to minimize waste, mastering the menu and product knowledge, maintaining hygiene and appearance standards, accurately preparing fresh food items, managing orders efficiently, upholding Health Department Standards, and keeping the kitchen area clean and organized with a sense of urgency. Qualifications While previous cooking experience is preferred, it is not required. We value your passion, work ethic, and ability to operate kitchen equipment. Good communication skills and a Food Handler's card are necessary, and you should be comfortable in a fast‑paced environment, both working independently and collaborating with the team. Previous experience is a plus with char‑grills, flat‑top grills, knife handling skills, time management, and great communication. Working Conditions/Hours As a Grill Cook, you will work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment, using equipment like flattop and char grills, ovens, slicers, knives, mixers, and food processors. Your hours may vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Being part of the Taziki's Kitchen Team requires standing for prolonged periods, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds to chest height safely. Speed and accuracy in executing orders to our standards are essential for this role.
