Job Description:\n\nAbout This Role The Regional Director is responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and educational performance of multiple Chroma Early Learning Academy locations within an assigned region. This role ensures that each center maintains excellence in early childhood education, compliance, enrollment growth, staff development, and family engagement while aligning with Chroma’s mission, values, and standards. The Regional Director serves as a leader, coach, and strategic partner to Center Directors, ensuring consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across all sites.What You'll Do1. Strategic Leadership & Team DevelopmentProvide consistent leadership, mentorship, and support to Center Directors and Assistant Directors across the assigned regionDirectly supervise and support Center Directors across assigned locationsHire, recruit, interview, onboard, develop, and retain high-performing Directors and leadership staffConduct performance reviews for Center Directors at 30-day, 90-day, and annual intervalsProvide ongoing coaching, mentorship, corrective guidance, and performance feedbackConduct regular one-on-one meetings with each Center DirectorFacilitate Director meetings, leadership development initiatives, succession planning, and regional trainingsFoster a positive, inclusive, accountable, and team-oriented workplace culture rooted in continuous improvementLead by example, demonstrating professionalism, consistency, and integrity at all timesSupport and reinforce decisions made by Executive Staff when communicating with Directors and Assistant Directors to maintain organizational alignmentMaintain a unified leadership message to ensure clarity, trust, and consistency throughout the organizationProvide guidance and leadership in resolving conflicts involving staff and families, ensuring issues are handled professionally, consistently, and in alignment with company policies and values2. Operational OversightEnsure all centers operate efficiently and in alignment with company policies and proceduresConduct regular site visits, walkthroughs, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations to assess operational effectiveness and leadership performanceConduct both scheduled and unannounced site visitsSpend a minimum of three (3) hours during each support visit to ensure thorough evaluation and meaningful supportMonitor daily center operations including staffing, ratios, scheduling, classroom management, and labor utilizationReview center schedules and labor trackers multiple times per week to ensure appropriate staffing coverage and compliance with labor targetsEnsure consistency in policies, procedures, and brand standards across all locationsSupport Directors in problem-solving operational challengesIdentify regional trends, priorities, and performance gaps and implement targeted improvement plansOversee implementation of new initiatives, programs, systems, and operational proceduresEnsure deficiencies are addressed immediately and corrective action plans are implemented and monitored through full resolution3. Licensing, Compliance & AuditingEnsure all centers maintain full compliance with Georgia DECAL regulations, state licensing requirements, Quality Rated standards, and company policiesImplement, oversee, and monitor all Plans of Improvement (POIs) resulting from:Georgia DECAL licensing visitsQuality Rated visitsInternal and external Quality Assurance (QA) visitsEnsure POIs are clearly communicated to Executive Directors and Center Directors, corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner, and progress is tracked through completionMaintain accurate documentation and proactive follow-up to prevent repeat deficienciesConduct monthly audits on all DECAL-required documentation, including but not limited to:Staff files and background checksStudent files and enrollment recordsTransportation logsEmergency preparedness and incident logsHealth, safety, and sanitation documentationStaff training certificates and ongoing training complianceAllergy lists and posted allergy documentationIEP and special services documentationConduct regular child and staff file audits to ensure all records are complete, accurate, and currentAudit and review emergency and safety documentation regularly, including:Fire, lockdown, and emergency drill logsEmergency evacuation and preparedness plansOversee and track all required annual inspections, including licensing, health, fire, and regulatory inspections, ensuring:Timely completionPrompt corrective action for findingsProper documentation and follow-up through closurePrepare centers for licensing visits, Quality Assurance visits, and auditsConduct internal compliance audits and follow-upsEnsure timely correction of all deficiencies and proper documentation of compliance4. Financial Performance & Budget ManagementOversee financial performance of each center, including revenue, expenses, and profitabilityMonitor enrollment, tuition collection, accounts receivable, and aging balancesConduct weekly review of center aging reports to monitor outstanding balancesRegularly review family accounts across assigned centers to ensure billing accuracy and elimination of aging balancesPartner with Executive Directors, Center Directors, and Account Specialists to develop and implement corrective strategies when discrepancies or aging occurMonitor progress and hold center leadership accountable until financial issues are fully resolvedEnsure payment plans are followed by both parents and Center Directors when neededPartner with Directors to develop and manage center ramp budgetsMonitor payroll percentages and collaborate with leadership teams to maintain payroll within target percentagesDrive profitability while maintaining quality standards5. Enrollment Growth & MarketingSupport enrollment growth strategies across all locationsPartner with center leadership to achieve enrollment targets and improve retentionAnalyze enrollment data, trends, and capacity utilization to maximize enrollment opportunitiesEnsure strong tour-to-enrollment conversion practicesCollaborate with marketing teams on local outreach and community engagement effortsSupport Directors in building partnerships with local schools, businesses, and organizationsSupport community outreach initiatives and relationship-building efforts to attract new familiesEnsure consistent branding and messaging across centers6. Family Experience & RetentionPromote high-quality customer service and family engagementMonitor customer service practices and guide improvements to enhance family satisfaction and long-term retentionAddress escalated parent concerns and provide conflict resolution supportMonitor family satisfaction and retention metricsSupport implementation of family events and community-building initiativesEnsure all family interactions reflect Chroma Early Learning Academy’s commitment to professionalism and service excellenceEnsure consistent communication standards across all centers7. Educational Quality & Curriculum ImplementationEnsure fidelity to Chroma’s curriculum and educational philosophyMonitor classroom quality, lesson planning, and child outcomesSupport Directors and teachers in maintaining engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environmentsPartner with education leaders to implement training initiatives and continuous improvementsRegularly conduct classroom walkthroughs and provide actionable feedback regarding instructional quality and classroom management8. Staffing & Workforce ManagementMonitor staffing levels and ensure compliance with ratio requirementsSupport recruitment strategies to maintain fully staffed centersAnalyze staffing efficiency and labor costsEnsure proper onboarding and training of new employeesPromote staff retention through engagement, accountability, recognition, and leadership developmentEnsure all staff complete required training in accordance with:Georgia DECAL regulationsQuality Rated standardsCompany policies and expectationsMonitor training compliance and address gaps immediately in collaboration with center leadershipTrack and monitor all Center Director and Assistant Director time off, including paid and unpaid leave, across assigned centers to ensure accurate documentation, staffing coverage, operational continuity, and compliance with company policies.9. Communication & ReportingServe as the primary liaison between Center Directors and executive leadershipCommunicate daily with Executive Staff via Monday.com to maintain transparency, alignment, and collaboration across the corporate teamProvide timely updates, escalate concerns appropriately, and ensure accountability for assigned initiatives and action itemsProvide regular updates and reports on regional performanceTrack and report KPIs including enrollment, staffing, compliance, financial performance, and operational metricsCommunicate company updates, expectations, and initiatives to DirectorsMaintain accurate documentation of visits, audits, evaluations, coaching sessions, and action plans10. Strategic Planning, Growth & AcquisitionsSupport expansion efforts including new center openings and acquisitionsAssist in strategic planning for regional growth and operational improvementIdentify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and program enhancementParticipate in leadership meetings and contribute to organizational strategyDuring new acquisitions, visit assigned centers a minimum of two (2) times per week for the first thirty (30) daysProvide hands-on monitoring, leadership support, and training during acquisition transitionsEnsure operational stability, compliance, staff support, and alignment with company standards during onboarding and transition periods11. Call Monitoring & Professional StandardsRoutinely monitor inbound and outbound calls to ensure quality, professionalism, and consistency with company standardsCoach Directors and Assistant Directors on effective communication and customer service practicesMaintain the highest level of professionalism when interacting with staff, children, and familiesAdhere to company dress code and maintain a polished, professional business casual appearanceDemonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, respectful communication, and professional conduct at all timesServe as a role model for leadership, integrity, accountability, and company values across all locationsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Enrollment growth and capacity utilizationStaff retention and turnover ratesLicensing compliance and audit resultsCompletion and accuracy of monthly auditsFinancial performance (revenue, expenses, profitability)Family satisfaction and retentionClassroom quality and curriculum implementationDirector performance and developmentTimely completion of POIs and compliance correctionsPayroll percentage management and labor efficiencyTraining completion and staff complianceRequirements The position of Regional Director requires comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and regional childcare staffing and licensing requirements Strong leadership and organization, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills are needed to oversee multiple large schools within assigned region Requirements: Must be 18 years old or older, or 21 or older in the state of Tennessee Must have high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 years of experience, or Associate's in a related Child Care major with 5 years of experience, or Bachelor's in Child Care related major and 4 years of experience Must meet all minimum state requirements for education and credentials Must have minimum of 2 years of experience as a Childcare Center Director Must have knowledge of GA Pre-K, Quality Rated and CACFP About Us Our Company is based out of Alpharetta, GA operating 24 Childcare Centers around Metro Atlanta
