What Will You Be Doing?
Serving as a subject‑matter expert of Frontier Airlines’ Drug & Alcohol (D&A) Program, you will independently administer all regulatory testing programs, ensure compliance with DOT/FAA requirements, and exercise professional judgment in interpreting regulations, resolving compliance issues, and advising leadership. You will also support PRD compliance activities and partner closely with HR, Safety, and operational leaders to maintain the integrity and reliability of all D&A and PRD processes.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for supporting the administration of all phases of the Drug & Alcohol Program for Frontier Airlines in accordance with the government and company guidelines. This includes tracking and processing of pre-employment drug/alcohol testing, the facilitation and management of other required testing programs, tracking related metrics and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintains detailed, current knowledge of DOT and FAA regulations related to required drug and alcohol testing and misuse prevention.
- Provides information and interpretation of Drug and Alcohol-related policies and procedures to management and employees.
- Recommends and/or initiates programs/actions to resolve issues and enhance client service and compliance with regulations.
- As needed, provides drug and alcohol-related training, to include training during New Hire Orientation, to management and employees.
- Supports maintenance of databases to track applicant status, create reports, and support annual audits by internal and external auditors.
- Compiles information for monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Responsible for maintaining organized filing of all related paperwork.
- Maintains current knowledge of collection processes and performs audits of collectors in all locations.
- Assists in preparation for and presentation at all internal and external program audits.
- Assist with processing new hire paperwork and reviewing all candidate information prior to new employee orientation date for clearances (fingerprint, background checks, pre-employment drug/alcohol screen).
- Maintain supplies and equipment in office for drug and alcohol testing, fingerprinting, and badge issuing.
- Audit leaves of absence and furloughed employees as it relates to return to work drug/alcohol testing.
- Monitor data integrity and assists in the development of procedures and routines to validate data stored in various HR databases.
- Audits Drug and Alcohol records at defined intervals to ensure compliance with regulations and established policy and procedure. Ensures adherence to records retention requirements.
- Monitors related email inboxes and responds promptly to questions and requests.
- Communicates courteously and in a timely manner with leadership, employees, collectors and other vendors.
- Serves as liaison for maintaining effective working relationships with collectors.
- Supports compliance with pilot recordkeeping by managing the retention, release, and verification of pilot drug/alcohol testing records and training records.
- Coordinates with other airlines, regulatory agencies, and pilot applicants to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Maintains expert knowledge of FAA PRD requirements and ensures internal processes align with current regulations.
Other Functions
- Participates in an on‑call rotation to support after‑hours and weekend emergency testing, providing 24/7 coverage during assigned periods (as needed)
- Provides backup support for the HR Compliance Specialist as needed.
- Occasional travel, including overnight stays, to support audits, training, and collection site reviews.
Qualifications
- 4 years of progressively responsible administrative roles in a corporate setting
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years college-level education preferred
- Previous airline experience preferred
- Previous experience providing administrative support for a drug/alcohol program in a Human Resources setting preferred

- Willingness and ability to work a varying work schedule as needed to support program needs – including late night, include early morning, nights and/or weekend hours
