Role Overview Crumbl Lafayette is currently hiring a Closing Shift Lead to oversee evening operations and help ensure the store is fully prepared for the following day. As a Shift Lead, you will supervise crew members, coordinate production, manage labor, and maintain Crumbl’s standards for product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and customer service. You will work closely with other members of the leadership team to create an organized, positive, and efficient workplace. This is a hands-on leadership position. The ideal candidate is comfortable providing direction, holding team members accountable, solving problems, and working alongside the crew wherever support is needed. Key Responsibilities Independently lead closing shifts and complete all required closing procedures. Supervise, train, and support crew members while maintaining performance expectations and Crumbl operational standards. Assign daily station responsibilities and ensure production, cleaning, side work, and closing tasks are completed accurately. Continuously evaluate dough, frosting, topping, and packaging levels and create production plans based on store needs. Monitor product quality, presentation, portioning, and availability throughout the shift. Manage labor hours and make appropriate staffing adjustments based on sales and production needs. Maintain clear and professional communication with crew members, managers, owners, and Crumbl corporate representatives. Complete required operational check-ins, photos, reports, and shift documentation. Address employee performance concerns appropriately, including documenting incidents and applying the company’s attendance and point policies. Resolve customer concerns and issue refunds when appropriate. Set up and reconcile cash drawers and assist with basic technology or equipment troubleshooting. Verify that catering and large orders are complete, accurate, and ready on time. Assist with inventory management, stocking, organization, and waste reduction. Enforce food-safety, sanitation, workplace-safety, and health-department requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-prepared store for the next shift and following business day. Qualifications You may be a great fit for this position if you have: Must be over 18 to operate heavy kitchen equipment Previous leadership, supervisory, or key-holder experience, preferably in food service, hospitality, or retail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The confidence to provide direction, address performance concerns, and hold team members accountable. The ability to remain organized and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The ability to prioritize production, customer service, staffing, and cleaning responsibilities simultaneously. A dependable, professional, and team-oriented approach. A customer-focused mindset and commitment to maintaining high product-quality standards. Bonus Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates who: Have previous baking, dessert-production, or pastry experience. Understand food-safety and sanitation requirements. Have experience managing labor, inventory, cash drawers, or closing procedures. Are comfortable coaching employees and resolving customer concerns. Connect well with customers and team members from a variety of backgrounds. Employment Type and Availability This is a full-time, on-site position at Crumbl Lafayette. We are currently hiring specifically for a Closing Shift Lead , so applicants must have reliable availability for closing shifts. Depending on business needs, scheduled shifts may also include opening or midday coverage.
