About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of current Birthing Center experience License: State License required Certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Experience with laboring patients, delivery (newborn care at delivery), and postpartum (moms and babies) Description: Provides professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients using critical thinking and independent judgment. Uses all phases of the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for the direction and supervision of the nursing patient care team typically made up of CNAs, LPNs, and other techs. Collaborates with the team and other disciplines in the provision of care. Documents patient care, patient condition, reactions, and response to treatment in a timely manner and tracks patient progress. Holidays and weekends are rotating and possible call may be required.
