Pay Rate: $3,400 - $3,488/Week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate imaging equipment, and support safe, efficient patient care.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.

• Current ARRT registration.

• Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist (RLT) license.

• Minimum 2 years of post-technical school radiology experience or 2 years of Special Procedures Technologist experience.

• Successful completion of required on-the-job training or at least 6 months of recent Special Procedures Technologist experience within the past 2 years.

• Successful completion of the CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

• IABP experience.

• Ability to work rotating on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• IR experience preferred.

• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with invasive procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters.

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures and operate radiologic and interventional equipment.

• Acquire, process, and transfer images to PACS.

• Document supplies, implants, and other required examination information.

• Prepare, position, transfer, and assist patients during procedures.

• Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, interventional supplies, and equipment operation.

• Provide patient education appropriate to procedures.

• Apply radiation safety principles and use required protective equipment.

• Assist with room, table, sterile-tray setup, and turnover.

• Assist physicians with contrast administration during arterial, venous, and percutaneous procedures.

• Assist and scrub with Vascular Surgeons and Interventional Radiologists as needed.

• Maintain inventory, complete equipment checks, and report equipment malfunctions.

• Maintain and clean interventional equipment.

• Participate in departmental training and quality/process improvement initiatives.

• Wear a lead apron as required.

• Participate in the on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays.
