Diesel Mechanic - Ponca City, OK Full-TimeAn employee of Shepherd Oil Company exemplifies our belief of "Where Service Matters". The Diesel Mechanic will play a key role in the safety and efficient operations of our transportation department. This person will maintain equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies, making adjustments and alignments; and keeping records of all actions performed. The ability to diagnose problems will be paramount to this person's success. Also expected will be an organized system and documentation of ordering parts, storing common parts and supplies, and the ability to clearly communicate with others regarding vehicle needs and issues.Responsibilities:Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers (Peterbilt and Kenworth) and other company vehiclesMaintain accurate records of each repair and service performed on vehiclesComplies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standardsEnsures services provided are in compliance with safety procedures, always making safety the top priorityExpected work week of approximately 50 hours.
